Aduu Solar started as a solar engineering and permit-design firm in Silver Spring - drawing plan sets, running structural and electrical calculations, and pulling permits for projects across DC and Maryland. When we started installing systems ourselves, we brought that engineering-first discipline with us. The result is solar that's designed right the first time, installed clean, and permitted without the delays that come from cutting corners early.
Today we handle residential and commercial installations across DC and Maryland, and we still own every step - assessment, design, permitting, install, and utility permission to operate - under one roof.
Founder-Led Story
Most solar companies are built sales-first: a sales team closes the deal, then hands your project to whoever's available to engineer and install it. We were built the other way around.
Aduu began doing the technical work behind solar - engineering plan sets, structural and electrical design, permitting - for other people's projects. We saw how often homeowners got an aggressive sales pitch followed by a system that was undersized, over-promised, or stuck in permitting for months because the paperwork was wrong. So we built an installation company that fixes that at the source.
Founder-led means the people who own the outcome are the same people who designed your system and who you can reach when you have a question. There's no handoff to a call center, no mystery about who's accountable.
